this might be OT, but the castle thing made me think of a few other points too. Apologies in advance.
1. MobileMe should NOT be rebranded. They can "add cloud castle level security" whatever, but keep it simple. MobileMe has great recognition (if a subpar rep, but see AppleTV) attached to it.
2. MobileMe should be worth the money. It is currently a ripoff when so much else is free. Apple should give a small wifi dropbox style sync for free among apple products (like dropbox) under the MobileMe name, and a wifi sync for iphone (free). This is not "entitlement", this is a basic functionality in 2011.

You indicated that the rich weren't paying their 'fair share.' I responded by pointing out that the top 50% of wage earners pay 95% of the tax burden. That is completely separate (although obviously relative and related) from the tax 'rate' which they pay.
Then adjust it down and make the top 60% of wage earners pay 90% of the burden.

But my point is from a moral standpoint, how much money does an individual and his immediate family need to live a comfortable life? In this case of the successful business person, they should be at the top of the income scale. But I have proposed that scale be capped and a 90% income tax rate at a high level, say over $1 million a year is completely fair. "Damn it's so unfair. I only have $1M per year to live on, when I could have $10M, $20M, $50M, bastards!" Obviously you think it's fair if you are allowed to live in excess while others do without or do even you have a cap? ;)
Now you can muster up all of your capitalistic indignity and tell me why it's not fair. Which brings us back to my original premise. How much do you need to live on and still be considered a 'moral' person? What is your definition of moral, being a glutton? That is what the excessively rich are.

A whole lot of people scrape by in this country. There is 'smart' and then there is 'opportunity'. Right now large multi-national corporations are doing there best to take away 'opportunity' from average citizens so they can increase their profits. Not only do they not give a damn about society, they have absolutely no national loyalty. Call them carpet baggers.
So in conclusion, I don't think excessive wealth is moral and I have no problem with the Federal government setting the top tax bracket at 90%. Call me a suedo-socialist. :)

Well you talk about fairness, I don't think its fair that your studies are funded by the government and mine are not, even though I will be working directly for the government in the very near future. And, its not fair to me that you may very well benefit directly from my work in several ways. For example, say you come to America for a holiday, and you are mugged. It would be my job to help get the guy responsible for your mugging and to be able to put you back to your position before you were mugged, at no cost to you because you are not an American citizen and don't pay taxes. So, I feel toat you owe me money because that would be fair. I know i'm making money as an attorney, but so is Loren on the many, many other projects he has going on for him. Its only fair that we are both compensated justly for everything we do, right? Just like you would want to be compensated by me if I came to your country and needed medical help, it would be nothing out of my pocket, and that doesn't seem fair to you personally doing something without just compensation.
My point is, each of us has our own lives to support, because really when it comes down to it, no one else is giving us a free ride...well except for you and thats not really fair. Well then to educate you, in America, no one gets a free ride. We're all for ourselves here, and then we have to pay taxes up the ass for the people on welfare who mooch off of the welfare system without really doing anything. No ones gonna help me with my law school loans even though the work I am doing will benefit many, many people. I will get a small government salary (criminal prosecutors do not make a lot of money at all, thats why so many attorneys try to go to private practices and big law firms, to make that 6 or 7 figure income). Does that seem fair? No.

The guys who created youtube didn't charge people to access the videos hosted on their site for free, or charge people each time they updated their servers and software, yet they are rolling in the dough. In America, we thrive on customer satisfaction. I personally do not feel Loren did enough with Tweetie 1 in satisfying his customers before going ahead and charging full price for an "update." And his excuse that Apple didn't provide an upgrade path is a cop out. I read his tweet on the decision; he did it because he "had the balls to do it." He should at least go back to Tweetie 1 and upgrade that as much as possible until he can't anymore. He stated that he wanted to do things to Tweetie that were impossible to do without rewriting the app from scratch. Thats fine, but you can't leave your old customers out in the cold like he did. People paid for Tweetie 1 without knowing that Loren would be pulling this stunt off. Indeed, it's an odd juxtaposition. In order to not appear to be hypocrites on their budget reform, some Republicans may have to backtrack on all the moral rhetoric they use to defend the death penalty.

Unfortunately it panics even without the cards - turn on bong, them white screen with apple logo then grey screen with power symbol saying you need to restart your computer and over the top of it all some script about the 'unresolved kernal trap(cpu0)
Would it help if I posted the script or anything from it?
btw the ticking seems to be coming from the back of the power supply near the inlet. Non of the fans are twitching etc

The IT Business climate is changing. In 5 years it won't matter what you're using; Mac, Windows, iPad, Linux, Android, et-al. Applications will become both more Web-Centric than ever, as well as the ability to virtualize the app to run on anything [ala Citrix XEN APP'ish]. That doesn't mean PC's, and/or Mac based systems with horsepower won't be needed, they will. However, the whole idea of locking systems down, and GPO's will be moot. People will be able to work in the office, at home, or on the road with whatever they want. It's already started. Some larger companies are giving their users stipends for systems. They give them an allowance of "X Dollars" and they can buy what they want.
As for this thread; anyone that says Mac's cannot live in an Ent environment, PC's are cheaper, or Macs have a higher TCO than their PC counterparts [which is a great buzz work to toss around, but 90% of IT people that use that term rarely understand it's full meaning] is rubbish. The days of a single system type across the enterprise are gone my IT friends. The new mantra is give the users the tools they need to get their jobs done, and allow them to be proficient....
