USCIS is all about balancing work...they are being forced to accept butt-load of AOS application, and they shift the balance this way....
Also they will take months or even years to send back receipts EADs etc...wait n watch....we made them swallow the tought pill, and they will make the same pill stuck in our throat for eternity now.....

One of my friend is ready to apply for 485. He is all set.
The problem is he got recently married and his wife's passport and other details are not yet ready and she is still in India.
Can he still submit his 485 for his wife?

Hello,
Last week i received RFE for my wife's father's name. The name on birth certificate is different from school leaving & other docs. I'm trying to get it corrected from Mumbai.
I beleive if i get a correct one matching with other docs, i should be ok.
Another issue, i have is i have rented an apartment under my name close to my work in the same state. All my docs have my home address, my question is will it affect my case if they find another address under my name?? I still have official address as my home everywhere...
Yes you need to make sure that all documents have consistency in names and dates. As far as your second question goes USCIS has space for just one address which should be your current address. So as long as you can prove that the address listed in CIS system is the most current address then you are fine. There is no law or no way to provide multiple address. Just make sure you can prove that address on file is your primary residence.

Both of those lenses aren't the fastest, so you're going to want a sensitivity of 1600 to get acceptable shutter speeds to minimize motion blur. If the light is changing a lot, you could use aperture priority, leaving the aperture at the widest it will go (or stopped down however much you can while maintaining reasonable shutter speed).
If the light is relatively constant (and when has that happened at a concert?), you might get more consistent results from determining the correct exposure by test shots and histogram, and then leaving things set until the light changes.
If you want help with autofocus, I'm afraid that I can't help, as my Nikon is a bit older than yours (D1). :(

Sorry to hear about your arrest. Are you staying with her in same house or separate house?. If you live in separate house, why you went there, if you have divorce case is pending.? You need to be careful.
Is this RFE is generated because of your wife reported your case to USCIS ?

applied June 27th( NSC ), still no FP..
Called them yesterday..the lady said that we need to wait for a 102 more days before they can consider this an issue :eek:
basically, there is no time period for FP , if we dont get EAD in the time frame then we call and ask. That's what the lady suggested.

tell them your friend is in trouble and explain the situation to them....they will guide you

I donot think that these people are directly responsible for creating the issue in the first place....It is a reactive response to the anti-immigrant postures of many candidates...Also people like are us are not eligible to donate to immigrantList...Only citizens or premanant residents can contribute to immigrantList.....

Hi,
My H1-B got Accepted but I didnt recieved my I-94. I completed my masters here. There are no status issues. My OPT will expire on Dec 27.
I applied for H1-B amendment under Premium processing but i got query of Company documents and 2004, 2005 paystubs.
My employer answered them that employee is not there in the usa in those years. Below is the response from USCIS
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.
On October 09, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
