Nope, Macs still make more money.
Macs are still a higher profit margin and responsible for more revenue - but the iPod/iPhone lines introduce customers to Apple as a company. People who buy Apple's devices are more likely to buy a Mac later, so they are still important even if they don't make much revenue.

He has been trying to demolish that house for years. I doubt it had anything to do with his health......
Thanks Captain Obvious. I was just being sarcastic.

The Nikon line, with digital ICE (as mentioned above) are a very capable line. I have the earlier Coolscan 4000, with the optional (but critical) scan feeder. It costs more, but when scanning thousands of images it was well worth it.
I believe the new Coolscan 5000 line is both improved and cheaper, so I'd look into that if you have a large quantity of images to scan.
My feeder (I believe they've modified the current feeder) needed a few modifications (searchable via google) to work with thinner cardboard mounts, but once done it worked fairly well. Plastic mounts were never a problem. Of course one had the odd jam, and all images still needed the normal digital darkroom work in Photoshop. But that's standard for every image.
Edit - Just saw your "25,000 images to scan". Be sure to get scanning ASAP - I find that my limit is about 100 per day, allowing time for each image in photoshop.
If I was you, i'd be more selective and only scan the images you were at least considering printing

Sold.
Just curious... how much did you get for it? I've got a MBP 2.2 15" 120GB, and if I upgrade anytime soon it would be good information about the resale market.

I took a 1TB external (the small form factor model from WD), created two partitions on it, then installed Lion on one of the two partitions. It runs remarkably well, albeit just a tad slow in some aspects, but I have no major issues and it even goes to sleep! I was unable to install iStat Menus 2 (the last free version), some of the previously-installed apps from the Mac App Store (installed on my internal HDD), or use iProxy, but I really, really like Lion and can't wait for it to be released.
I ran Geekbench and, while I didn't expect a great score, only scored 3661 on a late-2008 MacBook Pro (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 6 GB RAM). I'll just put that down to Lion being installed on an external USB2 device.
One thing I really liked was that when you download an app from the Mac App Store, instead of the app being installed in your dock, Launchpad is invoked and the app gets "installed" there.

What size is that, it looks like 15"? Also can you get anything else in there or just the Mac?
This is the 13inch one, but i have also made them for the 15" and 17" macbooks.
Funny thing is that most of my customers use it as a regular briefcase/suitcase, I also made them in custom sizes.
Nicely done.
Wondering if you can make an angry bird version, something like this.
Will be a special gift this Xmas

It can be done, providing thet the owners of Angry birds do not have a problem with this.

The stuff used on the heatsink is NOT an adhesive. It is just a compound that maximises the heat transfers between CPU and heatsink. The heatsink MUST be held down with the screws.
From the looks of it, you've either got a damaged bottom case (screw mount knocked off) or a bottom case for the wrong model (slightly different fittings).

Awesome...thanks!
So, just to be clear, I need to format the opti-bay drive partition as NTFS so Windows can read it?
You'll need to create a new partition using Disk Utility. Once Win7 is up and running, just reformat it as NTFS.

Single player mostly. I just find I'd rather be doing something else than playing video games when I'm with a group of friends. Unless it's something interactive like Guitar Hero, haven't tried a Wii yet but I'm sure I'd dig that.

Tony Abbott's notions on constitutional monarchy:
There are some people who believe that any republic would be better than what we have now.
Republic or bust zealots are incapable of perceiving any difficulties. Conservatives, however, dont change anything lightly.
Conservatives approach issues with instinctive respect for institutions and approaches that have stood the test of time.
If it is not necessary to change the conservative ethos runs, it is necessary not to change.
If it aint broke, dont fix it say conservatives, and if it is broke, recycle it, dont throw it away.
LOL on several levels.

I know there is some software that lets u bypass the firewire requiremtn.
I got one a while back that iddnt work, where can i get some software that will allow me to use it. I need the tried and true. I hate getting my hopes up and downloading stuff just to get it not to work
Unless your camera supports using it as a webcam it won't work.

Lowest - Concierge
2nd Lowest - hourly sales rep(paid low.. like 10 or 9 an hour)
Middle - Product Specialist
The highest being Genius at almost 20 dollars an hour...
The ABSOLUTE HIGHEST - General Manager of the retail store.. and of course the top is: DISTRICT MANAGER.
It's funny how incorrect that is.
